We have a wonderful class full of fun, enthusiastic and energetic Kindergarteners! We are learning the rules of school and how to get along with each other. Music class, Computer class and P.E. are a lot of fun, but we also enjoy Math, Reading, and practicing our handwriting. Most importantly we are learning about God's love for us and how we can share His love with others.

Kindergarten News
We have had a wonderful first couple days of school! Everyone is getting to know each other and we are learning the routines of the classroom. On Thursday the class met Mrs. McCord, our Music teacher and today (Friday) we met Mrs. Carney, our P.E. teacher. This week we also met Mrs. Addie and Mrs. Doerr, our Wednesday and Thursday volunteers. Next week we will also meet Mrs. Pfund, Mrs. Tosie, and Mrs. Judy, our Monday, Tuesday, and Friday volunteers.
Please be sure to check your child’s school folder each day. Notes from the office and papers from class will come home in the folder. Yesterday your child came home with a decorated paper bag and a note about our “Get to know me” bags. Please help your child find a few small items to put in the bag that are important or special. These bags will help us get to know each other better. Also, please help your child practice what to say when showing the items in their bag.
Starting next week I plan to email the Kindergarten News to as many families as possible in order to save paper. If you have email and have not already given me your email address, please let me know. You can send me a note, or you can email me at mollyphelps@slcas.org. If you do not have email I will still send a paper form home, just be sure to let me know.
